Many factors effect the waters pH such as fish waste, excess food and decaying plants. To determine whether or not to change pH always track the pH over several days by measuring pH morning, noon and night. Failure to determine the natural fluctuations in your ponds pH may have a negative result. Most pond readings fluctuate widely and naturally over a 24 hour period. Compatible with most water conditioners and antibiotics. 16 ounce bottle lowers or raises the pH one full point (example: 8.0 to 7.0) most other treatments claim more treatment gallons but only remove pH 1/10th of a point (example: 8.0 to 7.9). This EasyPro products treats more than other brands!
Treats 16,000 gallons of pond water! EasyPro's premium pond dye will help filter out sunlight as well as give pond water a pleasing "natural blue" appearance. Dye will not stain or harm fish, plants or other wildlife once dispersed in water.
Foam is a common problem in many water features. Excess protein in the water leads to bubbles being formed by splashing water. EasyPro defoamer is a silicone based product that prevents foam bubbles from forming and will instantly remove surface foam that is present when added to your pond. Foam is not only unsightly but also increases the oxygen demand on the pond. Safe with all types of fish and
plants. Defoamer is most commonly used on live hauling trucks but can be
used in any fresh or salt water system where foam can build up due to splashing
water.
Salt is essential for fish health. Koi and goldfish need salt to control their electrolyte balance. Salt also maintains the natural slime coating fish need to fight off fungus and disease. 2% Salt will not harm plants. • Use 1-2 lbs. per
100 gallons of pond water under normal conditions
Activated carbon has long been used for filtration media when super clean water is desired. Carbon has the natural ability to absorb high amounts of organic solids such as chemicals or pesticides that may go into pond water. Carbon will also absorb medications used on fish. Activated carbon has also been shown to have the ability to remove tannins that cause "tea-colored" water. Use approximately 1-1/2 cupfuls for every 100 gallons of pond water. Place in mesh bag and set in moving water. In a pond, skimmer or Aquafalls is a good location. Replace carbon every four to five weeks as needed.
Use Zeolite to remove harmful ammonia from water gardens, fish tanks, fish hauling trucks, etc. Ammonia is the byproduct of fish waste, and at high levels is toxic to fish. Zeolite is like a sponge, absorbing harmful ammonia before it can cause fish loss. Zeolite can be cleaned by dipping in salt water and re-used again. One pound of Zeolite will remove approximately 3 ppm ammonia from 100 gallons of water.
